The Story of Taupe-Stop-Mole
Our story
Sometimes the best ideas come from old techniques.
The story of Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 began decades ago, when Charles Dekeyser’s great-grandfather used a traditional method to eliminate moles. Calcium carbide and water were introduced into the mole tunnel, creating a reaction that immediately eliminated the mole. Although this technique was highly effective, it was far from safe.
When Charles’ grandfather started having problems with moles again two years ago, the idea emerged to completely rethink this old technique. The goal was clear: to develop a solution that was just as effective, but much simpler and safer to use.
After the first prototypes, we quickly noticed that the device delivered exceptional results. During a ski holiday, we decided together to further develop the concept and bring it to the market professionally.
Today, there are many mole control products on the market, but very few solutions are truly effective in the long term. That is why we wanted to develop a device that is reliable, easy to use, and delivers lasting results.
After more than a year of intensive testing, improving, simplifying, and optimizing, Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 was finally created.
The number “52” refers to the 52 different drawings, designs, and prototypes that were needed to create the final product that we now manufacture and market ourselves in Belgium.
An efficient and sustainable solution against moles
During the development of Taupe-Stop-Mole 52, three key elements were at the heart of our approach: efficiency, safety, and simplicity.
Many traditional solutions work passively and rely on chance. They wait for a mole to enter a trap. Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 works differently: actively, efficiently, and quickly. This allows moles to be eliminated more effectively while limiting damage to lawns, gardens, and fields.
In addition, we wanted to develop a solution that remains safe for the surrounding environment:
- no permanent traps left in the garden;
- no danger for children or pets;
- no complicated systems requiring technical knowledge.
The device is easy to use, fully reusable, and suitable for both private individuals and professionals. In addition, Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 is locally manufactured in Belgium and is made from 96% recycled materials.
We do not believe in temporary solutions or disposable products, but in a sustainable system that customers can rely on for many years.

All our devices are fully manufactured locally in our workshops in Marcq.
From development to assembly, everything is managed in-house with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and sustainability. This allows us to carefully inspect every device and continuously improve it.
