FAQ - Need help with our mole control solution ?
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Taupe-Stop-Mole 52. If your question is not listed, feel free to contact us.
The Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 operates with one AA battery.
To replace it :
- Unscrew and remove the bottom plate (4 screws).
- Carefully remove the electronic igniter.
- Unscrew the cap of the igniter.
- Replace the AA battery.
- Reassemble all parts in reverse order.

During the first treatment, treat all individual molehills. Molehills located less than one meter apart count as one active mound.
After the initial treatment, treat only the new molehills that appear each day. You will see the number decrease significantly.
In most cases, the garden becomes completely mole-free within 3 to 5 days, depending on the level of activity.
If no explosion occurs, check the following points :
- Is the tunnel sufficiently open so that the gas can circulate ?
- Did you create a deep enough cavity ?
- Did you add the correct amount of carbide ?
- Did you add approximately 5 ml of water ?
- Did smoke appear ? If not, add another 5 ml of water.
- Is the device placed correctly above the tunnel ?
- Is the detonator rod fully inserted ?
- Do you hear the ignition ?
If all steps are correctly followed, the device should operate normally. If not, repeat the process or contact the supplier.
We recommend keeping dogs and other animals indoors or in a stable during use of the Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 to prevent them from being startled by the small explosion.
After the explosion, animals can safely return to the lawn.
First remove the soil from the molehill by spreading it over the lawn. Wear gloves and use your fingers to carefully feel the loosened soil.
The tunnel is usually located in the center of the molehill. You will immediately recognize it because the soil suddenly gives way and you can clearly feel a hollow space.
Store the Taupe-Stop-Mole 52 in a cool and dry place. Make sure the device is protected from moisture and extreme temperatures to maintain optimal performance.
